Joseph Evanichko of Whitney (tribunereview)
Joseph "Hardy" Evanichko, 82, of Whitney, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at his
home. He was born March 10, 1929, in Whitney, a son of the late Paul and Anna
(Balak) Evanichko. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Latrobe Steel Co.
Hardy was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and member of St. Cecilia
Catholic Church, Whitney. He was also a member of Unity Township American
Legion Post 982 and Whitney Firemen's Club. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by a son, Joseph Evanichko; a brother, Stanley Evanichko;
and a sister, Helen Hafer. He is survived by his wife, Sarah E. (Little)
Evanichko; seven children, Shelby Stemmler and husband, Randy, of Latrobe,
David Evanichko and wife, Becky, of Norvelt, Lynn Adamerovich and husband,
Michael, Laurie Wiser and husband, James, and Christine Malik and husband,
Charlie, all of Latrobe, Janel Brown and husband, Zachary, of Mt. Pleasant,
and John Evanichko and wife, Angie, of Saltsburg; 10 grandchildren, Jay, Matt,
Brian, Paul, Michael, Alicia, Nathan, Sara, Brandon and CJ; eight great-
grandchildren, Gavin, Gage, Ivy, Zach Jr., Michael, Brady, Joseph and Alyssa;
a brother, Frank Evanichko, of Whitney; two sisters, Josephine ...
