Arm of Salvation's Music
Zipporah Bennett was first challenged by a vision for Israeli Congregational Praise and Worship in the mid-1970s. Within the course of a few years, after much earnest prayer, God began to use her talents to compose songs which quickly became popular within the Israeli Messianic congregations and also those in America. She produced her first Hebrew worship album, "Sha'arei Zion" (Gates of Zion), comprised of some of these songs, on cassette in 1989. Her second album, "Kuma Adonai" (Arise, O Lord!), was another national success, especially the title song through which Zipporah has become well known to many Messianic music lovers in a number of countries. This album is unique insofar as it was the first to use all "sabra" (native-born) Israeli Messianic singers. Her third album, "Mi He'Emin?" (Who Hath Believed?), exclusively uses Old Testament Messianic texts concerning Yeshua (Jesus) and features entire passages of Hebrew and Aramaic.
After receiving many overseas requests for permission to translate her songs into other languages Zipporah rose to another challenge. She composed a number of songs (still only using texts from the Hebrew Bible) that could readily be translated into other languages so that all can enter in. The result was the Hebrew-English recording of "Halelu" (Hallelu) which was soon followed by a Hebrew-Spanish edition and a Hebrew-German edition. Other languages could follow.
Zipporah's songs and music have been used (by permission) by artists recording for English labels such as Hosanna Integrity, and numerous smaller labels in the English-speaking world as well as being recorded overseas in several other languages. Her music has been used for introductions and backgrounds on a number of videos and also on Messianic television programs. A 1998 interview with Ramon and Zipporah Bennett by the Canadian-based "Messianic Times" was published under a header of "ISRAELI AUTHOR-COMPOSER DUO IMPACT THE WORLD," and of a truth, the "Israeli author-composer duo" have indeed "impacted the world" with their God-given talents.
