The news media is the spokesman of the world. The one controlling your information controls your judgments. The news media effectively controls the entire world's perception of events by what it presents. Senior CNN correspondent Frank Sesno said in January 1999 on CNN Live, "We decide what the public wants to know…what they need to know." Others of Mr. Sesno's standing have said: "There's no such thing as truth, only news" and, "News is what you make it".

The news media decides what you should know and only informs you of what it wants you to know. Some of the most prominent television news networks, together with some of the world's biggest and most 'respected' large circulation newspapers and magazines, will not only withhold important news from the public's eye, but will also distort or completely fabricate it to suit their own ends. And this happens most frequently when Israel becomes the focus of attention.

Chapter 9 of Ramon Bennett's book, "Philistine: The Great Deception" is devoted entirely to the news media and thousands of readers have become shocked and angry with the media when faced with numerous documented examples of distortions, fabrications and outright lies presented to the world as "News". The focus of Arm of Salvation's newsletter, the "MINISTRY & PRAYER UPDATE", is to present truthful coverage of events in and affecting Israel, along with Ramon Bennett's political analysis of these events. The "UPDATE" is available only by subscription with a minimum donation of US$15.00 per year (US funds drawn on US bank). The "UPDATE" is written in Jerusalem in English, printed and airmailed in the US to English subscribers around the world. Those interested in subscribing can remit their donation with a clear, PRINTED name and address to:
