Who Are We?
Arm of Salvation was established in 1981
and is an indigenous Israeli Messianic ministry dedicated as
the Holy Spirit leads to propagating the good news of Yeshua
the Messiah (Jesus Christ), teaching the Word of God from Israeli and
Hebrew perspectives, and disseminating the truth about Israel, especially
the truth concerning Israel and the Middle East "peace process."
This we are committed to doing despite threats of death and physical
harm, intimidation and persecution that have been made against staff
members of our ministry.
Arm of Salvation is a trans-denominational,
international faith ministry. We are entirely dependendent upon financial
gifts from our supporters and proceeds from royalties and sales of our
books, music CDs and cassettes to sustain our work in and for Israel
and the Jewish people. These are critical times for Israel so we encourage
supporters of our ministry to help us fulfill our calling by giving
financially and by purchasing our books and music. Our books and music
are shown elsewhere on this site (click "Books and Music"
on the Index) and can be purchased for personal benefit, as gifts for
friends, family and church leaders, or for resale to members of your
church or prayer groups.
Arm of Salvation's books are distributed
and read in well over 100 countries in the English, German, Norwegian, Hebrew,
Spanish, Russian, Danish, Italian and French languages. Each book has been, or is still,
on several countries' best-sellers' lists and contain vital information
and messages to both the saved and the lost. Arm of Salvation provides sets of books to selected Third World Bible colleges without
charge; supplies free copies to inmates in Western prisons and also
to poorer brethren in the Third World as requests are received.
Arm of Salvation publishes a printed newsletter
in the English, German and Norwegian languages. The newsletter, the
"MINISTRY & PRAYER UPDATE" (click on "Newsletter"
in the Index), contains the actual news of current events in or affecting
Israel. Through the "UPDATE," Arm of Salvation endeavors to
counter the news media's omissions, distortions and fabrications by
presenting the other side of the coin the side the news media
and the politicians would rather the general public did not know. The
"UPDATE" is a periodic publication (usually five or six issues
per year) that is available only via regular mailings for a minimum
stated donation to cover actual costs of printing and mailing charges.
Administration
Arm of Salvation has its main offices in
Jerusalem, Israel, but also has volunteer representatives around the
world who are committed to the ministry, to Israel, and to the Jewish
people. Ramon Bennett is the founder and Executive Director of Arm of
Salvation and his wife, Zipporah, is an Associate Director. Ramon and
Zipporah Bennett are Israeli citizens who made their home in Jerusalem
more than 25 years ago.
RAMON BENNETT
Born
in England in 1939, Ramon emigrated to New Zealand during his teenage
years. There he met a true believing man who showed him the reality
of the risen Messiah. Ramon struggled with the deep surrender required
for a totally committed life until June 1965. During August of 1967,
while alone and in prayer, Ramon was powerfully anointed with the Holy
Spirit. Shortly after that he began leading a team of evangelists in
Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, and also began accepting preaching
invitations from local churches. In 1980 Ramon received a request for
his help in Israel and, in response to that call, arrived there in 1980,
on May 14, the thirty-second anniversary of the founding of the modern
state.
Ramon met his future wife, Zipporah, on his fourth
day in Israel and they were married the following year. He felt the
call to the Land and became a part of the struggling Body of Messiah
in Jerusalem where they still live today. Ramon wears many hats. He
is an ordained minister, a theologian, an International Bible Teacher
majoring in biblical prophecy, a historian and a political analyst.
Being a citizen of three countries Ramon consequently holds a uniquely
international perspective on world events. He links biblical prophecy,
current events and world revival together. His messages are illuminating
and have riveted listeners all around the world.
Ramon Bennett is the author of four best-selling
books stemming from his expertise on biblical prophecy and the Middle
East. His biggest selling book, "Philistine: The Great Deception,"
released in 1995, is a dynamic exposé of the Middle East "peace
process" and has been reprinted eighteen times and is available
in nine languages. Following its release in Norwegian, "Philistine"
was for months the subject of many newspaper and magazine editorials,
radio and television debates, together with several full and double-page
newspaper spreads. Ramon is currently working on two new prophetic works, the first
provisionally entitled "Islam: its nature and goal," and the second, "The Wilderness".
Since beginning his international ministry in 1987,
Ramon frequently lectures, teaches or preaches in meetings, seminars,
conferences and Bible colleges all around the world. He is also a frequent
guest on television and radio around the globe and is no stranger to
live or recorded telephone interviews for overseas radio programs. Ramon
was a speaker for 10 consecutive years at the ICEJ's Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem,
the largest Christian gathering of the year in Israel.
ZIPPORAH BENNETT
Raised
in an Orthodox Jewish home in New York, Zipporah Bennett had, as a young
woman, found that her spiritual needs were not being met in the synagogue.
Deep within her burned the question, "Where is God?" This
began a long quest which ended in a remarkable encounter with the Messiah
in the Hawaiian Islands in 1970 that totally changed her life.
Since encountering Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah and King
of Israel, Zipporah has become one of Israel's foremost composers of
Hebrew Messianic worship songs. Zipporah has set Scripture to song using
the original Hebrew texts of the Bible in a unique Hebraic style of
music which stems from her synagogue background. She has released four
very popular albums and her songs are being sung and played not only
throughout Israel, but in many other countries of the world practically
anywhere those with Jewish hearts worship the Holy One of Israel. Zipporah's
latest release is a Hebrew-English album and these songs are now available
in Hebrew-Spanish and Hebrew-German editions. Other languages are being considered.
Zipporah travels extensively with her husband, Ramon.
She is also an anointed speaker and no stranger to ministering in ladies
meetings around the world. Being asked so frequently to share her about
her life resulted in Zipporah writing an autobiography entitled,
"Return, Daughter of Zion!"
Arm of Salvation's Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired,
infallible and authoritative Word of the Living God.
We believe there is only one God, eternally
existent in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Yeshua the Messiah
(Jesus Christ), in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, and in His
atoning death through His shed blood at Golgotha.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of
Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ), in His ascension to the right hand
of the Father, and that He will return in great power and glory.
We believe that it is only through the atoning
death of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) through His shed blood
that the salvation of lost and sinful man, both Jew and Gentile,
is possible, and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential.
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit
by whose indwelling the regenerated believer in Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus
Christ) is enabled to live a holy life well pleasing to God.
We believe in the resurrection of both the
saved and the lost, both Jew and Gentile; of those that are saved to
a resurrection of eternal life and of those that are lost to a resurrection
of eternal damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers,
both Jew and Gentile, in Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ).
